Service Description: The SWOOP2010 project was acquired with 20 cm resolution panchromatic imagery and 40 cm multi spectral in the spring of 2010. The imagery acquired is leaf off and includes approximately 45,000 sq km in an area covering Windsor to Tobermory and down to Niagara. Products include stereo imagery, 1 km x 1km pansharpened 20 cm orthophoto tiles with digital elevation points and significant breaklines. The accuracy requirement for the ortho tiles is 50 cm horizontal. The orthophotography provides high-resolution, true colour aerial coverage for Southwestern Ontario. This data serves as a valuable information resource, providing a spatial context to features existing on the landscape in 2010. The orthophotos are considered foundational data and will be used in GIS analysis, remote sensing analysis, mapping, asset management, environmental management, planning, and for background reference data.
