Service Description: The Southwest Ontario Orthophotography (SWOOP) 2015 is an aerially acquired imagery data set. This product is 4 band RGBNiR orthophotography with a pixel resolution of 20 centimetres and is accurate to 50 centimetres on the ground at 90%. The dataset covers approximately 49,167 kilometres squared in Southwest Ontario. The imagery was acquired in the spring of 2015 under the best conditions possible to achieve cloud free, snow free, ice free, smoke free, and leaf off captures. These conditions together were best represented in Southwestern Ontario during April 12 to May 23 during which time the imagery was acquired. The imagery was acquired by aerial photography and was later orthorectified using an elevation dataset generated through image correlation. The acquisition was contracted out to Fugro Geospatial. An ADS100 Leica digital camera system was used to capture the imagery. This record represents metadata for the following data sets delivered by Fugro Geospatial: Orthorectified Imagery RGNiR 8 bit GeoTiff, Orthorectified RGBNiR 8 bit JPEG2000 10:1 Compression, Stereo Line Tiffs 16bit RGBNiR.
